I am head barber, Manager and mentor of Mankind Crawley.
I was born into a hairdressing family. My Mum has been in the industry for over 35 years and my Dad worked for a global hairdressing wholesaler for a number of years too. Between them they have run multiple hair salons. My sister Millie is also a hairdresser and manages Salontwelve.
I have over 15 years experience in the game and have been fortunate enough to work with some of the industrys finest. I am fully qualified and the best training I have received has been from the tallented people that I have been fortunate enough to work with over the years. I still have the attitude that there is so much to learn and am open minded to new techniques that are coming through all of the time.
After 10 years of cutting hair I decided I wanted to give back to the industry that has given me so much, so for he past 5 years I have been blessed to train mulitple people who have contunued to work for the company, and even gone on to manage their own Mankind branches! I am greatful to have played a part in helping these people learn a trade for life, which they can take with them anywhere in the world.
Over the years my clients have become friends and I look forward to catching up with them when they come in.
I am very proud to be part of such a such a talented team and look forward to seeing you in the Salon very soon.
I have been working for this fabulous company for five years now and I love it, I have been inspired along this journey, from hairdressing to barbering- now I have the ability to do anything I put my mind to. I have grown as a hairdresser , barber and most importantly as a person.
I started in the company as a young 17 year old girl and am now an empowered woman with lots of new abilities and experience. I am always up to date with every current trend so come in for and haircut with me and you'll have an experience to remember.

I've cut hair for as long as I can remember but never worked as a Barber. I was always working on building sites in various roles, plodding along and paying the bills... One day I'd had enough and thought to myself it's now or never!
I was in a position where I could take a step back and pursue my passion so I enrolled in college at the age of 30 to learn the trade and was then lucky enough to get a place at Mankind Barbers where, under the guidance of Wills, I could hone my skills and strive to be the best I could! It's by far the best decision I've made and I haven't looked back
My names Sammie Jo and I am new to the Mankind Barber shop but I am so excited to now be part of the team! I'm originally from Crawley but have lived abroad and travelled around - It's now time to come back to my roots!
I have been trained at the prestigious London School of Barbering, where I qualified with a distinction in my Level 2 diploma. Im a quick learner and have picked up the trade fluently, with great feedback from my all of trainers. Although I am new to the industry, I am a highly motivated and driven person and always aim to be the best that I can be. I am meticulous when it comes to creating anything and a true perfectionist, so I'll always aim give the best haircut possible, no matter the circumstances.
Alongside barbering, I have my own dance academy, so creating art in all genres is something I am very passionate about. I am totally a people's person and I absolutely love a good chat! So come and see me and we'll have a real giggle, as well as leaving with a fresh new cut!
